I can feel your every emotion
In the instant you give the motion
To destroy the evil powers that be
It is amazing how much God loves me

I stand alive amidst the walking dead
They are expecting me to break their bread
I did not come to celebrate the victory
I am pacing with patience outside the rectory

I never wanted or expected immortality
Nothing to do with any morality
Just chosen by God to live and explain
Faith by works without any complain

So I chose you to love and you received
But you never gave back so I felt deceived
But whatever it is about without me can still go on
For I am near the edge to step off, I’ll be gone

What I have received comes at an extreme cost
A branch, an outstretched hand, to the lost
Saying I love you because you are you
Did not know that we were through

Still do not know what it was I did or said
Could be anything, I was once dead
But His Fire consumed what remained of me
Letting Him immerse me in Himself completely

Like wine turned to blood
My heart burst like a flood
Revealing in intricate detail
My very weakness without fail

This flaw you decided made me unworthy
To be in your presence, end of story
Wrapped in His light I walk free
Matters not what you say or do against me

I know where I am going and where I am at
The hope that draws up divinity and not just that
But a renewal of spirit and flesh united
To the highest Heaven we have been invited
