A Prophet Scorned

You built yourself
A castle of illusions
Feeding your delusions
Cash the go to source
Of relief and worship
But it does not love you back
And tore a hole so very deep
Betrayal of the deepest kind

I came down to see
To witness everyone be
To smite and warn
Those who are likewarm

But my message fell on deaf ears
I have nothing left but these tears
Blindingly they persist in sin
Citing their own lies within

Their love has run dry
It is though they do not try
But when they harm the little ones
They reap destruction by the tons

My anger fills this cup
To relent I must drink up
But I poured it out instead
Now it is on your head

I never asked for blood
But they shed it anyway
I never asked for this pandemic
I commanded it

I’m an escalator down from Heaven
Trying to convince their nature
To be good

But they are hard of heart
One has to bend them like iron
This pandemic is one of them

There will be another blow
This time with fire
It will fill the sky

But steadfast love will come
From neighbour, friend, and foe
The love of God will show…

My Heart wrings out sorrow
My halo and sword you can borrow
Trouble me with forgiveness
From my Heart to you I bless

Trying to say many things
Hidden like Saturn’s rings
To broaden your surrounding
And see the light beyond drowning

This world has not been kind
Now back to the daily grind
Got so much to look foward to
All that love in between gotta be true

I have a blessed and cursed life
A certain kind of easy strife
Looking forward to it
To the time we meet and sit

My hand is gentle
My words are kind
My body is vexed though
Bread always starts off as dough

My Lord who shaped and formed you
Is my father, brother, and mother
From God is always a life worth living
Never a dull moment in giving

The possibilities are endless
Of what is written there is what is not
Can either be good or bad
Good for others or just yourselves?

Heart exposed
Words disposed
Pain has me reeling
Over this godawful feeling

Wishing I was dead
It was something you said
That realized what was forgiven
Now I am forgotten

I am not here to get rich
Not here for the fame
I witnessed all these things
By how I was treated by them

Still to this day
Their hearts are in dismay
Knowing not what to do
While messengers do not delay

We are forever
Everlasting Love
We remember
Those who Love

What no one ever saw or heard
What no one ever thought could happen
Is the very thing God prepared for those who love him

You aren’t listening
The sun is blistering
Revelation has come
This world is done

You tug on my heartstrings
Playing that lovely tune
Wish I was with you
Deny me not, I love you

I held on tight
This battle I fight
It is death I face alright
Not afraid any day or night

With you I can be me
Nestled to a tree
Bearing fruit so sweet
A gesture forward in time

So hold fast to this love
Finally, it will be alright
But my dreams fell apart
I never got to dance with you

Now my time is ending
My purpose unending
Bearing the greatest gift
Giving it to those I love most and least

I give you all my love
Forevermore such a dove
Delights my soul to wonder
I am going asunder

Wretched unbelievers
Your sins have contrived ya
Letting it consume ya
Not letting in love

My Heart full of sorrow
At the losses I see tomorrow
You bring happiness and love
Shy not my dove

The Lord blesses with signs
To guide the penitent
Not just a sentiment
Ignoring them is dumb

I want you to be alarmed
You will see many disarmed
To be brought to their knees
And fleeing to the trees

The graces you have been provided
Prevents you from being divided
Live according to His Word
Do not consider this absurd

The death toll will be billions
Costing the world trillions
Leaving the rich empty
No defense against this calamity

I warned you this was coming
But your ears are deaf in hearing
Really this message should be heard
For I am really just Third

Stepped outside
Sunny skies
Birds aflight
Singing delights
Their cheers are right
Blessings and might
Will come

The Lord will show true Justice
By His very own Hand
Crafted for this purpose
Exposing evil and lies
Because of death on the rise

Watch me fade
Flaws and all
Distant and always alone
Never afraid
It was that word He said
Sit here and wait
Witness these things
