A Prophet Scorned

I slip by unnoticed
Wearing glasses and clothes
I bore my nakedness here
Living in weakness
So that I rely on His Strength
His Gifts last beyond all the eons
Forged in a purifying fire
I bare my soul for all

I asked for Fire
Got the Spirit’s flame
Zeal infused grace
Oh what a place to be!

Once you know Him
You cannot unknow Him
Where is your faith
That leads you by grace?

You need not take a long look
To see what is not of God
Such as the celebration of Christmas without Christ
What you do see
Are nations filled with evil
Spilling out into popularity
What is flaunted and said
What good is it when you are dead?

Your song burned a hole
Felt it through my soul
Like a searing incision
Cutting off inhibition
Poured out all of me
For all to see
Living simply
In love and free

I am in insurmountable pain
Suffering for you in the rain
Tears tearing holes in my hands
Doing what I can in these lands
To save those who are lost
Never minding the cost

I reneged on the fame
It is Christ who came
Living with the souls as one
Victory over death He has won

Receive Jesus
In the manger of your heart
Prepare in humility
For the coming of the Lord

Dead I am to you
Despite what I sent you
Imploring love for love’s sake
Leaving me a heart wrenching ache
My desire for you is real
My heart’s love you did seal

My work is about to come to an end soon
After all this my heart you did swoon
But your reality that exists beneath the stars
I had hoped by now it would have been ours

Truth is I did not come here to be friends
I came to love and be loved
But the latter is lacking
As lives are slacking

I suffice on my own
As I have already shown
Faced Death head on and won
Because of the Victory in Christ

My words falter over time
You only like the ones that rhyme
That is okay I like them too
Love is something to do

What We do for you
You would be amazed it is true
Nothing specific
Just salvation

Since I cannot die
Where does time lie?
I will outlive you a generation or two
A living sign of Christ to come

My heart extends unending Joy
At the Marvel that comes to us like a ploy
I never meant to be coy
Instead I am seen as some toy

Now I have got myself into trouble
Pray for forgiveness double
The lack of conversion disturbing
Nowhere to go outside this ring

Fight the good fight for life
God will put an end to strife
It is in sight so much in view
Better look at your life in review

I have messages in my hand
To be spread across the land
For a True Life in God is in store
This is not some lore

So listen closely my dear
Let go of all your fear
Act by the way of faith to be real
What my heart longs to feel

The transcendance of your beauty
Glorifies the Creator
The work of His hands
Spirit’s breath
Spirit’s fire
My desire

You have my heartfelt gratitude
I look over those who are rude
To find the lost and foresaken
It was a picture that was taken

Watch out for the waves
It is Jesus who saves
Especially in this battle
Your head will rattle

You must have deep faith
If you are to see power
Come from a Son of God
For me even the skies obey

If alone in nothingness
Less than a piece of dust
Disregarded and dicarded
A dreadful fate awaits

But fillled with His Spirit
Your nothingness becomes everything
With a remaining reflection
Of God Himself in your own

Wondering when you will turn around
To listen to me and what I have to say
Or will you banter off like a banshee
Ignoring the inevitability

I know my place in all of this
Positioned favourably as of late
I have a sword that cuts through strife
Beyond the inspiration for new words

So become that which you were meant to be
On fire as always inspiring even to the young
No rhyme with this one
Careful, I am filled with His blood

I wonder at your betrayal
I thought you had set sail
As far as warnings go
Unheeded is the flow

I have already lost so much
Brought me down to a crutch
Riddled with suffering I bleed
I still love the creed

Mixing up and tricking out
Wondering what lives are out
I tried to warn to save
Turn this act into a rave

Daring and brave
Came by like a close shave
To live love completely free
No matter what, you see

This fire inside
Won’t go out, I’ve tried
Just burns even hotter
Remember He is the potter

She really is quite the dove
