I have struggled with what weighs heavily against me
No longer chanting what the world must see
The chance to live under Christ’s reign forever
Will be gone for you as fast as it did enter

I know from whence comes God’s wrath
After preparing us for our cosmic Sabbath
A purge to destroy all of the wicked
To also spare those who to His will they submitted

What I have seen I have written for all
It reminds of the time you stood so very tall
A gleam of hope in a world full of hate
God has given you a heavenly trait

To be used by one such as you
To reveal the truth that will ensue
A prophet’s word wrapped in God’s might
Did not mean to trigger in you a fright

I stood up for myself for my stance with the Lord
But I left them all without saying a word
Did not want to say something I would regret
Love has it’s hold on me and His I get

Had enough of the insolence I found
Despite that ever seeking devil’s hound
I wrench completely free from strife
To be raised up into Eternal Life

I do not impose my beliefs that are higher
But often I am scorned, hated, or called a liar
They do not understand the reality He delivers
The kind of move that gives you shivers

Jesus held me close while I wept a river of tears
Reaching deep within and dispelling all of my fears
Restoring hope that was once lost
Hope that came at an extraordinary cost

The pain and suffering caused, I was raised above
To a point past transgressions turned into love
You took my breath away by your immense grace
Knowing our worst we will have to face

Before Him forgiveness brings praise and laud
I know I am the least and worst before God
Sustained by grace alone we are not afraid
For the truth is in the prayer we prayed
