I journeyed over thousands of years to find you
Beyond the dead, who walk the earth, I flew
Last time I was close but this time it’s different
Here I struggle and have to pay the rent

I heard the cry of the lonely hearts amidst mine
And there you are so perfect and oh so fine
Your voice pries open my vulnerable heart
To expose the reality of love I impart

My powers over the world are meant to be hidden
While the acts of glory are not forbidden
I venture on beyond your reality
And dole out peace and tranquility

With every heartbeat of mine it is all for you
From treacherous waters and lands I pursue
Living a life not my own and so much I have endured
I have reserved my tears for you to be cured

I touch the pain without a knife
And reality sets in, into my life
I bear it all to save the whole lot
From death, from pain, from all they’ve got

I do not understand why your silence rings
Louder than a bell and your absence stings
With you I can be myself instead of dying
To live on is not a matter of trying

I have survived enough rounds
I know how it sounds
To know the truth I see
That here I cannot be me
