Oblivious you are

In things and not God

I started with the nations
But they decided on bloodshed
Vengeance coursing through my veins

The longer no one listens
The greater the escalations
Nation after nation

I knew from the get-go
That their absent gratitude
Would prevail

You got it all right
Answered with Love
Thrilled beyond sight

Jesus is the Life
Despite all the strife
Fight the good fight
Win with delight

Fight for love with love
I live this like a motto
Only to be cast aside
Knowing their hearts are stone
I try again

Every moment loving
That flies by unnoticed
The audacity of it all
A lover’s desire
Quelled

Thoughts of you
Shape of your heart
I drew

Enveloped and ensnared
By Your marvellous Light
Such Grace and Beauty
And everything in between

I looked for Heaven
And found it beyond the seas
Beyond the stars
Beyond the mind
A place I can see and feel
Just as real

Dead as a doornail
Lifeless and body broken
I came back
Not on my own
