A Prophet Scorned

I am but one tiny tendril
Amidst the streams of God’s love
Affectionately calling God, Father
And He calling me, Son
I love according to His Word
And am rejected for it

We are all recipients
Of God’s divine providence
It is up to you to decide
Whether to receive it
Or reject it
What comes next
Is where faith comes in
Belief that the Lord will provide
Stems into branches with more fruit

The Lord reminded me
I am permanently bound to you
Where you go, I go
So let Me take the lead
So in Heaven you will be

God’s Kingdom come
The Lord’s will be done
We are on Earth
And in Heaven
Rejoice!

I tasted something that was gifted
I tasted immortality on my tongue
And drank God’s Glory
My unworthiness precedes me
Yet I am still loved
For that I always love in return

May my misdeeds be forgotten
And reconciliation comes into play
Before any Glory is given I pray

To no avail I sail
The treacherous waters
Beaten and bashed
Mistreated and mashed
All in the name of themselves

Whose name shall be called?
Whose name shall save?
They are one and the same
This is not some game
Though your game I did play

I lost on purpose
Seems like giving up
More like living it up
Offering it up just the same
Living it fully even if I am lame

I took on their wretchedness
And my body blistered with cancer

You got me
You got my heart beating
Faster and faster
I am a loner out here
Because I live not here
But in another world
Not like this one
A much better one
I am trying to help mirror here
Heaven on Earth evidently

You wipe away my tears
But you let this one fall
Deep into the pools of sorrow
Watching all this unfold

Like a beast
Hate has exposed itself
And cannot hide from the world
Watch and see
Please respond with love

Tipped the scales of Justice
Watch the world change
Freedom will come
With it all the Glory
Living the world’s best Story

You are getting warmer
Tired of being the warner
Got some good news for you
God has come and is here
But you see him not
He has veiled you from His Glory

You do not know
The sacrifices made
The self-immolation
By the Spirit’s Fire

Out of love I gave
My very life that saved
Have to be alive
By breaking the silence

Watching those I love
Treated with contempt
Incites and flares my anger
Now I breathe My Fire

Careful not to judge
Those in the drudge
Or anyone at all
Or you will certainly fall

Got the power of God in my hands
Power to dole out a sentence
By His Judgement of your deeds
Or lack thereof

Leave you wondering
What could words possibly do
Do not test those who are true
Or I’ll run you through

The Messages are clear
Repent from your intolerance
Love is for all
Which spreads by the giving
Of yourself for others
Dying if you have to
And to eternally live

Working at breaking
Daylight and silence
Fighting for recompense
To bring kindness and sense
To what love there is left

I lifted my head
Toward Heaven
Felt nothing but compassion
Like a cloak floating down
Covering all the lowly
Sheltering them safe
Safe from wicked harm
