Always you I see
When I close my eyes
Tears
Flowing in streams
Unable to console
I am left harbouring your pain

I can feel you rushing toward me
You arrive in a whirlwind free
Filling me with delight
That special light
Spotlight

Oh sweet love
It was about you at first
But I reeled in my desires
Left myself for dead
Washed by His Blood instead

But no more of this fantastic feeling
That you bring when swinging
I will sink into annihilation
Weeping at the state of the nation
Who were offered an amazing deal for life

I am cryptic in my stanzas
Puzzled by your lack of love
Journeyed through the darkest places
Protected in every step
Death evades and has no say
Not because I am special
But because my belief
Has transformed into Faith

Unaffected by your poison
Whether it be in my drink
Or in your words
Your poison does not affect me
Kindled by a promise made
Fulfilled by a promise kept

She brushed me off like dust on a jacket
Never met the thought of possibilities
Never cared for the suffering
Preferred pleasure over the pain

I forgive her every time
Thousands upon thousands of times
Touched her hands with words
In the darkest of rooms

Love her like no other
I seem only to be a bother
So I left her be
With the hope she will see

Sing a song unto the Lord
Let your riff penetrate my soul
Hold back not on the meaning
Your love you wish to convey

Been with you from the beginning
Nothing to fear following Him
In His very bloody footsteps
Reached the summit of that Journey
Where the Cross is there waiting for me
Do they understand what I mean
When I say I would die again and again?

One with Him I Am always
Chosen to be
Imagine knowing before you gain
Such is the way to eternal life
No other way but through Him
So be united with Him
And do onto others as though He were them

A caveat I must unfurl
Not knowing where you come from
Doesn’t mean I don’t love you

Soaring the skies above
I swoop down below
To reach those in need
Picking up the fallen

The strum of your guitar plucked my heart
Then came your voice over the strings
Unwavering strength conveyed
Unrelenting faith
In love

There is something being written
Between the lines His divine unction
Absorbed in your love unconditionally
Extends my loving hand for aid

Beyond death like a bell it rung
Echoing forever in the chamber of my heart

My testimony gives glory to God
Against those who do evil
For from me evil flees
Emanating peace

Imagine if you will
Lead a life of peace
No matter the fray
People still knowing nothing

They all want their freedom
So I do not disturb them
I sacrificed mine, did you know?
Out of love for you I show

What I lost I hope to reveal
Long lost love forgotten
Blossoms into a flower
Picked by the greatest master as treasure

Your song put me in a trance
Here I am changing my stance
Knowing what you have been through

Knowingly and willingly I continue on

With confidence in God today

Nothing new is revealed
Just a different way unsealed

Living and renewing fire thereof
Stumbling along I found a secret place
Where His love spans all time and space

It seems I am at the end of my rope
In truth my happiness comes not from me
But in the fulfillment of His Ultimate love, see?

If I have been raised from the dead
Who has the authority to counter what is said?
So let me reach out with your hand
To heal broken hearts and bones in the land

I wrote thousands of times
Mostly just rhymes
Words to show nothing is greater than love
Stillness is found near the dove

With unwavering truth and faith
In Christ the Lord, not some wraith
His promise of God’s Kingdom has come
